We are very excited to announce the 1st annual Wa Wa Wally Waddle 5K Run/Walk for Segowea. On May 16, 2010 the Friends of Segowea will hold the first of hopefully many annual Wally Waddle 5K runs. The race will serve as a fund raiser for the Capital Campaign. In addition to the 5K run/walk we will also have a 1 mile kids run for children 13-years-old or younger.

About Friends of Segowea
Friends of Segowea is a group of people dedicated to the continued support of YMCA Camp Wa Wa Segowea. We are run by volunteers and are fully funded through donations, gifts and fund raising efforts. Alumni, family and friends have come together to raise money for improvements to camp infrastructure, and to preserve the tradition and spirit which have helped children become stronger more confident people for almost 100 years.
Camp Wa Wa Segowea has been camping at its current location for over 70 years and many of our buildings and facilities are in need of major repair or replacement. We are currently running a major capital campaign to raise the funds needed to provide a quality place for our campers to play and grow. Please consider making a tax deductible donation today!
